Nicole Cabell

Nicole Cabell, 2005 BBC Cardiff Singer of the World, is an exciting lyric soprano whose career has taken her to many of the most important opera and concert halls in the world.

Nicole has sung leading roles such as Violetta (La traviata), Giulietta (I Capuleti e i Montecchi), Adina (L’elisir d’amore), Contessa Almaviva (Le nozze di Figaro), Donna Elvira (Don Giovanni), Musetta (La Bohème), Mimi (La Bohème), among others with many of the most prestigious opera companies, including the Metropolitan Opera, the Royal Opera House Covent Garden, San Francisco Opera, Lyric Opera of Chicago, Santa Fe Opera, Deutsche Oper Berlin, Cincinnati Opera, Minnesota Opera, Michigan Opera Theatre, New National Theater Tokyo, Teatro Colon in Buenos Aires, Opéra Montréal, Oper Köln, Grand Téâtre de Genève, and others.

She has also performed in concert with many of the principal orchestras of the world, the New York Philharmonic, the Chicago Symphony, the Cleveland Orchestra, the Minnesota Orchestra, and the Bayerischer Rundfunk among them.

Nicole has sung recitals in Copenhagen, Prague, Munich, Frankfurt, Dortmund, Ottawa, Indianapolis, Raleigh, Toronto, Atlanta, Louisville, Chicago, New York, and Orange County to name a few.

Her recordings may be found on the Decca, Deutsche Grammophon, and Telarc labels. She has also appeared as Musetta in the film version of La Bohème starring Anna Netrebko.

2017 will be Nicole Cabell’s fourth year on the faculty of “Si parla, si canta,” and she will be with us for weeks number 5 and 6.
